Narrated Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.” — Reported by Muslim

The Serambi Musolla project at IIUM Schools is a vital initiative to strengthen our students’ and staff’s spiritual development by connecting the two existing musolla at the IISB Complex, Batu 8, Jalan Sungai Pusu, Gombak. 

With a student and staff population of 2,900 from Setiabudi schools and International Islamic Schools ,Friday prayers conducted across two separate musolla, preventing continuous rows of worshippers as required in Islamic law. By converting the small garden into an open-space Serambi, we can ensure smooth congregational prayers, unobstructed visibility and audibility of the imam, and provide additional capacity for 200 worshippers.

Beyond serving Friday prayers, the Serambi will also host Quran memorization sessions, outdoor learning activities for primary students, and evening programs such as Yasin recitation and prayer sessions for exam-year students. The estimated project cost is RM300,000, with RM250,000 targeted through fundraising and RM50,000 allocated from the school management.
